Apparently people don't know about fibro and herniated disks. Sometimes physical therapy makes it worse. Try not to do to much at once, take frequent rest periods, even a nap in the afternoon will help. A heating pad should help ease the pain some. Ask the doc for some muscle relaxers. How are you sleeping? If not well, ask him if there is anything you can do to help you sleep better. I have a cup of nighty nite tea, that helps me relax. Concentrate on relaxing your muscles when they hurt. When you hurt, a person tends to tense up and causes more pain. Take a nice hot bath if that helps you relax....

I had a surgery on my lower back L-1 to S-1 and it did nothing but made things worse. I also have disks out on the C section C-4 to C-8 and I will not have them operated on. I have every point of the fibromylagia and I am in pain 24/7. I have other major problems like a open heart surgery and the chest never healed and the wires broke and the chest separated 3/4 of an inch. This also floats and causes pain and more heart problems. I also have a degenerative muscle disease and that does not help. They have given me allot of pills along with morphine and I find that meditation and music. along with allot on concentration on the areas that hurt relieves the pain for a period of time. At 54 I have been going thru this for 12 years and I believe in my spirits that guide me in the right direction and also god. I wish you luck because they told me 6 years ago that I would start to loose the use of my legs and I am still going with a cane. Faith in yourself has allot to do with it.

I'm guessing you're going to a chiropractor.. they might feel good in the short term.. but they just mess things up for the long haul
