All religious history is full of blood, murders, rapes, wars,etc... Tis the nature of religion or should is say of man. Plus, it is my personal opinion that when men are left in charge of solving the problems in a hands on situation you will have these things because men tend to use more "hands on" and violent tactics to resolve there issues then women do. just my opinion.

God made Biblical times relate to the times of today, and it is not just a coincidence that the Word BIBLE could stand for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. And the Bible is a book of Instruction, Understand, Knowledge, Wisdom, and many other things and situations that you can name. Not only this is what it is giving you but it also increases them in you because Wisdom is not a thing it is a personality, in proverbs it is describe to be of a great value that is not purchasable, it is learned and earned by the following of the instructions of the BIBLE. There are many others that are personalities because somewhere in Revelations Death and Hell are describe as a person that lives in a place of the same name. And Jesus has the key to Death and Hell. There is also Destruction, and Peace, and many others I believe. And God don't have love, but He is Love.

Because the Bible isn't some little kids fairy tale book. It takes an honest look at mankind's hopeless condition apart from God and his long suffering patience as He slowly redeems us and restores us and the creation to it's original state. There is only one perfect "man" in the whole Bible and we all know that Jesus was more than a man, He was God made flesh.
It's the same way today. We all fall short of God's perfect standards in many ways time and again but because of his love He has made a way for us to be declared righteous in his sight. I thank God for his gracious gift of Christ Jesus my blessed savior!

Actually if you compare Christians of any time to nonchristians of any time you will see that the christians were much more peaceful. Your problem is that you try to compare people from centuries ago to the people of today. Ironically you prove that Christianity has had a peaceful effect on the world. Thats why history seems so violent to us today.

Christian history is also full of charities, martyrs, missionaries, and ministers. how many times does someone here bring up the inquisition, but no one ever says, 'that mother Theresa, she was a real Christian too."

You sure have a lot of questions, it is just too bad you are not seeking the answers to these questions. It is obvious you are here to cause confusion and to try to outrage christians. However I rebuke you satan in the name of Jesus.

Who can really trust 'just' the written word, which will forever be subject to interpretation?
And...how much history can REALLY be condensed into just ONE book, and supposedly cover so many years...something else to think about.
Too many questions will NEVER be answered...therefore, to each his own.
