does anyone know where i can go to get a step by step directions on how to crash my computer got a virus so i was hoping to try this

You could try dividing by zero, or writing in a nonexistant memory location, but the Operating system won't let you do those things.

Your best bet might be to pull the power plug.

Note that you may lose data!

Maybe going to a restore point before you got the virus will help. Maybe just blocking and/or deleting the virus. Don't you have anti virus protection? You can get it free from Grisoft. Do you have firewall or anti spyware protection? You can get this free too. Crashing your computer is meaningless.

HI-HAVE YOU TRIED BACK DATING IT FIRST? TO DO THIS :GO TO START.CLICK IT.IN LIST GO TO 'HELP'..WHEN THIS LOADS IN,LOOK FO R'HOW TO UNDO HARMFUL THINGS TO MY SYSTEM'..IT WILL WALK YOU THROUGH IT,NOT HARD TO DO AT ALL....IF THIS FAILS..THEN IF YOU HAVE CD'S THAT CAME WITH YOUR SYSTEM TO RESTORE TO FACTORY SETTINGS.PLACE THEM ONE AT A TIME IN TRAY,DO AS THEY TELL YOU.THEY WALK YOU RIGHT THROUGH IT.... IF YOU HAVE A NEWER COMPUTER-IT MAY BE RIGHT ON YOUR DESKTOP.LOOK FOR IT ON YOUR DESKTOP,IF NOT THERE,CONTACT YOUR COMPUTER COMPANY FOR ASSISTANCE.....HOPE THIS HELP YOU OUT :-)

Go to MS DOS, find the file COMMAND.COM and delete it. Simple!
