Remember one thing...their problem is NOT your problem...drive carefully and defensively...and driving the speed limit or SLOWER will give you more time to react to other inattentive drivers....and you'll be able to enjoy the drive more and save gas at the same time. Don't let other cretins force you into the same bad behaviour they exhibit...and keep your cool or try to laugh about it when things are a pain...then pat yourself on the back for your exemplary example!!!

I too find it very bothersome at times...we've all been there..having a nice drive when all of a sudden some idiot with their elephant of a car is on our "you know what"! Or maybe you've been cut off, passed, flipped off, or whatever type of rude behavior was on the menu for that day. The world is getting faster and faster. Not only do we have fast food but we can now get photos in a hour, oil changes, eye glasses, and much much more. It seems that this get everything NOW idea has gone to some peoples heads.....actually lets face it..it has gone to all of our heads in some way or another. Even though it irks me when Mr. hummer can't stand to see me go the speed limit...i have to take a step back and remember how I've acted at times behind the wheel. Let's take the "jerks on the road" (ourselves included) and learn a thing or two...Walmart will be there in the morning...Big Macs are on sale all day....so lets all slow down and enjoy the ride.

I hate the fact that I have to pay high insurance premiums even though I have not had an accident or a ticket in 18 years of driving. For years I had friends who would make fun of my cautious driving. Now it seems like I am the only one out of my group of friends who isn't paying $3000+ per year for car insurance or having their wives drive them around everywhere because their license was suspended.

The bad thing about it all is that these jerks are in a hurry to go nowhere. Some treat driving as a competitive sport while others think that their car is a toy. It funny sometimes how people who have very poor driving records have a tendancy to blame everyone and everything else for their own carelessness.

It is really scary with all these people in their huge suv's and gigantic pickups. I live in a small town in northern minnesota and tourist season is the worst. There are so many morons out their who think they own the road. The idiot tourists always have a huge camper attached to their pickup or my favorite which i actually saw the other day, some guy with a camper on his pickup, another small truck behind the camper and that truck had a boat attached to it. then this guy pulled out in front of me and was driving terribly all the while i had a guy in a big suv riding my ***. now if i had to stop quick for the moron in front of me that guy could run right over the top of my little dodge colt. stuff like this happens every day because ppl just have no consideration for anybody else. im just gonna start doin my shopping at midnight, i almost feel safer around the drunks!

I believe that we all have to be as cautious and as observant as we can. We also can't assume anything on the road, such as assuming someone with their turn signal on will turn (we all know sometimes they don't turn). We should all follow all the safety rules that we are taught. We should wear our seatbelts, follow at a safe distance, stop at red lights and stop signs, look both ways multiple times, and so on.

I move over and let them have the road. They aren't worth my grief.

What really scares me is gas guzzling SUVs. Not only could they crush my hybrid, they're destroying the environment!
