It's probably a hair ball. Cats get them.

My cat once started vomiting and wouldn't let anyone, not even me, his owner pet him or pick him up. Turned out, after rushing him to animal hospital, that he had a urinary tract blockage and required IV fluid and possible surgery. Fortunately, the block passed itself and he was okay, but spent 3 days in hospital and I spent lots of $$$$ to keep him there. Check it out, especially if it lasts for more than a day. Call your vet if still in doubt about what to do.

Dude if he's goes outside he may have been poisoned ,my cat had symptoms like you described , the vet was able to give him IV and he pulled through after a day.

When this happened to my cat, I later found out that he had distemper. It's important to keep him hydrated. I'd advise a trip to the vet.
