if maybe the government would of put a stop to this issue along time ago no one would be affected by it. The government let these people make they're lives here, business, etc. (NOw they kick them out, when the government encourage them to come by offering the help and all kinds of opportunities to grow in the US. ). If this was such a problem to the economy etc why didn't the great government not stop this? Don’t blame the people blame our leaders. There has to be conspiracy behind all this. some people have been here for 10, 20 yrs and nothing was done, so now that they have they're lives here, they kick them out. That is just weird

It's all about $$$. People only care about what THEY can get from something be it a politician or your average Joe. Morality has eroded and corruption exploded.

I agree they should have enforced it, and I agree it is weird. And that is why with a million caveats I'd be open to legalization of screened illegals without the right to bring other family, IF I had border security and enforceable employer sanctions and dismantling of benefits for illegals.

However, I don't think deportation is "unfair" because these people knew the penalty when they broke the law, and we have been subsidizing them all these years. I just think it is really sad, and I'm not sure we could actually do it once the hard luck stories rolled in.

The Senate Bill is NOT the solution, however.

It just became an issue recently becuae of some political B.S. where each side is concerned only with the amount of votes they can get from it. Before now, the issue was basically ignored by most non-border states. Border states have been dealing with this issue for many years. They have been under-funded to seal the borders. Now is too late to kick out the immigrants; its impossible.

Because the government is run by morally bankrupt, lazy politicians who are essentially prostitutes for votes. They spend more time and energy on currying favour with anything or anyone that can ensure their re-election than on running the country for right or wrong. They are too nervous about upsetting any group, special interest or otherwise, from white bred middle America to one armed Peruvian paper hangers.

there is no real way to prevent anyone from crossing the broder illegally it is the same for locking your doors on your house at night. It only keeps the honest people out. Anyone that chooses to come here illegally will do so regardless of the measures that we put in place.

What America needs to do is help improve their home countries so they will want to stay there and not come here.

Don't worry, we ARE blaming our leaders! We are also blaming the companies who hire illegal workers! We further blame Mexico's administration, who so blatantly want to export their own citizens to make a quick buck from the money they send home! And we DO blame the illegals themselves, who come here KNOWING they are breaking the law of the land! Anything else?

Easy one. Republicans aren't doing jack about it because it keeps wages lower for their business buddies. Democrats won't do jack about it, because they don't want to lose the support of the Hispanic base.

I guess it truly is a non-partisan issue!!!
