My Mom pointed this out to me. At every funeral I have ever attended...the 'departed' is always assumed to be in Heaven.
Where are the evil people funerals?

Death is likened to sleeping in the Bible. Jesus's friend Lazarus had died and this is the account at Luke 11:11-14: "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. The Bible tells us that the dead do not feel anything
Eccl.9:10: " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing--"
So the dead are not suffering--only in a deep sleep until God through his Son resurrects them back to life and there will be a resurrection of both good & bad people. Acts 24:15: "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Hell is the common grave of mankind--Jesus has the keys of death and hell. He will resurrect all who are in hell and then they will be judged--some to everlasting life and the rest will be put out of existance. God is love and would never torture imperfect humans-
Satan tries to paint God as sadistic and cruel. This he has accomplished through the false teachings of Christendom.

Evil people's funerals are at the same place as those for the "good" peoples are.
I thought ,If there is a hell , then that's where my Dad went. But I know there is no link in life and death.Name one person that I can talk to thats dead. None . Name one that can prove "life after death". It can't be done! And name a Man today, that purposefully runs with 12 men and rebukes women and I'll show you a gay man!Use your BRAINS,a lie is a lie is a lie. If Jesus really did exist, why doesn't he show himself now?? **** that god's will **** ,Explain why he's to good to show his face now?? Is he scared or is he fictitious?

I would love to attend a funeral where the preacher says, "Sam was a mean SOB who never did anything good for anyone, was completely selfish and egotistical, and wasted most of his money on whiskey. No way is this guy in heaven with the saints!"

PLENTY of evil people have funerals.
the usual way I think that religious people deal with that is when they assume the person has gone to hell they just say, "god have mercy on her/his soul" and they pray for them
Crazy Wacko fundamentalists don't believe "evil" people go to hell and "good" people go to heaven, They only believe that those in their tiny cult who are saved are in heaven and everyone else is in hell.

Hahahahahaha! Good point! In every funeral, they always point out how good the person is. If everyone in the world is good (which I HIGHLY doubt), where are all the assholes?

Makes me want to re-do my will to make sure that I get called one at mine. lol

I thought the same thing of my grandmother. She was a terrible mother, treated her sons like gold and treated her daughters like dirt! I just have to wonder, did she go downstairs or upstairs? I think i really know!
