If all we had were "sense and reason" life would be a stark collection of only the things we can see, touch and measure.
Our ability to exercise our curiosity and our imagination gives us the gifts of hope, aspiration and ultimately of faith. We exercise our free will based on our developed personal beliefs. And those beliefs are not simply based on scientifically developed external measurements.
What a horrible, flawed creation man would have been had God not had the wisdom to allow us to wonder about things, make choices based on hopes and expectations, and yes... even to make bad choices.
It sure beats no choices at all. God is a choice I'm willing to make, based on my faith and intuition. His existence is a BELIEF which transcends "sense and reason". And for that I thank God.
Keep the faith!

maybe because the sense and reason tell us to deny the existence of god, so the faith and the belief have to be much stronger.
It's like Jesus going through the forty days being tempted. The harder it is to work though your doubt to come to your belief, the stronger the belief becomes

Many are not endowed with either. Sense and reason was given to most for the purpose of knowing to live a righteous life.

God gave us sense and reason so we could know the world and understand Him with our minds, yet He wanted us to have faith as well. If we could just see God, everyone would believe Him and would worship Him out of compulsion instead of love. Therefore, it takes faith to truly, willingly serve Him, and a great blessing comes to those who do.

because God doesn't work through sense and reason, he works through belief and faith. He gave us sense and reason to live here on Earth, but belief and faith to bring us to the life we will hopefully spend with Him.

Simple...
We use sense and reasons to strengthen our belief and faith.
For example...this whole universe surrounds us with all the senses and thus reasons to belief that God really exists.. no doubt about that..
Do we really believe that this universe is created out of nothing?

Do not believe something simply because you have heard it. Do not believe anything simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of teachers, elders, or wise men. Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it, and live up to it.

The mind (through sense and reason) tells us that there must be a Greater Being and the heart tells us to place our faith in HIM.
