Can you figure this out?

There is a barrel with no lid and some wine in it. "This barrel of wine is more than half full," said Curly. "No it's not," says Mo. "It's less than half full." Without any measuring implements and without removing any wine from the barrel, how can they easily determine who is correct?

Add exactly half of wine from another barrel.. if it spills over than it was more than half.. if it doesn't... Mo was right.. it was less than half..

If they carefully tilt the barrel [not spilling any wine out] so that the wine just reaches the lip of the open end, it's possible to see if the barrel is more than or less than half full. If they look inside at the wine in the semi-tilted barrel & it stays below the barrel's bottom, the barrel is less than half-full. If they look inside & see that the wine reaches above the bottom of the semi-tilted barrel, the barrel is more than half-full

Throw it into a large body of water and see what proportion is above and under water.
