Yes... I have a nagging feeling there is another one, but I can't put my finger on it just yet. I'll add it later if it comes to me.

Have you read Genesis???That was the Job that Adam had and Eve was to care and nurture the family...so Yes it is the man's obligation to provide for his family...in my opinion if he is not willing to do that He is not a real man (a real man WANTS to provide and takes pride in allowing his wife to raise the children and care for the home)

At 1 Timothy 5:8 it says that he who does not provide for his family has disowned the faith. Therefore, the man is obligated to provide for his family or is without faith or religion.

Yes it does.
1 Timothy 5:8, "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." That's the most clear-cut declaration of this fact.
Also see...
2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

I don't think it does in that specific order. But man is the head of the family, so in turn has to take on the responsibility to provide for the family. The Godly man is the earthly representation of God. God is the head of our heavenly family. He protects and provides for us...he charges every husband and father with the same tasks.

I'm not sure.....so does that mean if it doesn't say anything about it in the Bible that it's ok to just sit on your butt and watch Jerry Springer?
