Bottom line.... do you love him? Does he love you? Then go for it. There is no secret formula to know if this is the man you were fated to be with or not. In this world, you get love, you cherish it, you don't know when it will come around again. So go for it and don't worry so much.

You don't, but if you study the actions of the person. Then shall you know how they really feel and care about you. From this information, you and only you draw your conclusion. This is best done by asking the same question you pose now. "Are these the actions of a person that truly loves me." Do this at least once every day that you stay with this person, and you shall never have to look for this answer again.

I met my would-be-husband 2 weeks before I was to leave on a 1 1/2 year long church mission. During that time I would only be able to communicate by letter, and 2 phone calls per year.
He said he was going to 'wait for me'. I said ...."uh, yeah right...you are cute, you are sweet, you are 23. There is NO way."
He wrote to me every week, he NEVER missed a week. He inspired me, and cheered me on through letters. Every few months he would send a care package unexpectedly, full of very thoughtful things. Through the whole time, he was true to his word.
And when I came home 1 1/2 years later....there he was at the airport with a single red rose.
We were married 8 weeks later. :o)
How did I know it was true love.....because of what he was willing to do to win me over and show me what I was truely worth to him.

I believe that through our lives we each meet potential "true lovers", and it's up to us to take them up the offer! For different stages of our lives, I guess there should be a different man. For instance, the man you date in your teens should be completely different from the man you have children with...and that man should be different from the gentleman you fall for when you're in your 50's! Why should there be all this pressure to find ONE guy?

you're the only one who could know that...there's no formula or advices that can tell you if he's being true to you...trust your instinct and what you feels..at least if you failed you will not blame that you have trusted any1's advise..
