I'm working on a nighttime routine for my 7 month son but for naps and currently bedtime, he's used to going to sleep in a swing. How can I break him out of it?? He's never slept in his crib yet but my ultimate goal is to get him there as quickly as possible. Thanks

Yeah, don't put him in it. The swing always makes them go to sleep. And dont put him in it as often. He is used to it now and you need to concentrate on how to get him out of that.

I would get rid of the swing...my daughter has a 15 month old...we took the walker away after awhile...It may take him awhile to get used to the crib but he will.

attempt it one night. merely lay him in his crib. What I do with mine (he's likewise 7 months) is I supply him a bottle (whilst a lullaby CD is enjoying interior the background), with the lights in his room dimmed, in user-friendly terms a nightlight. Then I anticipate him to circulate to sleep (often while he comprehensive ingesting) and placed him in his crib. I enable the CD play all the way via. formerly even feeding him, I supply him a shower. each night. It takes a pair of week or so formerly they get used to it. No naps after 4 pm, or he isn't at risk of sleep lots in the time of the night. supply it a attempt. Having the toddler on a time table is fairly good, delivers greater time too. He might even sleep the completed night via!

It will be painful for you but he has to go cold turkey. Take the swing away and expect him to cry for a while each time he wants to sleep. You can't give in to his crying. Just hold on another day and soon he will stop crying from missing his swing. Good luck

I had that problem make sure they are feed diaper is changed no tummy ache, then put them in abed tell them night night and turn the light off. He will probably cry but each day he will cry less and less. Trust me I did it with 4 kids and on top of that I babysit. IT REALLY WORKS!!
