I had a bad reaction to sodium. I was on a diet and decided to have a boullion cube before I went to bed....all sodium. I woke up the next morning with both eyes swollen and my wrists and ankles swollen. I retained this water for five days and weighed 4 lbs more than I did before I drank the boullion. Be careful!

Hi, sodium is only good for you to a certain extent. if your sodium intake is too high you will probably feel bloated and heavy. this is because sodium causes water retention in the body, and too much of it causes an overload of water retention.

too much of it is bad for you--can cause dehydration, hypertension later on in life, etc

but you do need sodium to survive! just in moderation
