I went to the dr and he gave me bactrim, but I wont take that because I know someone that died from 1 dose (flesh eating disease). What is the difference between UTI and Kidney infection?

If you have a kidney infection you should really go see a doctor and get an antibacterial shot. But in the mean time be drinking lot's of Cranberry Juice. Sinus infections are best treated by draining the sinuses. Giving antibiotics for a sinus infection will only make the bacteria more resistant. I like using nasal sprays with salene. Alot of people think they have a sinus infection just because they are stopped up. A sinus infection has one tell-tale sign- your teeth hurt like you just got your braces tightened. Being stopped up is usually a result of a cold or allergies, in which case antibiotics will not help you. While you're getting your kidney shot, have them drain your sinuses. But try the nasal spray first. It will dry them out and kill the infection.

neither zithro or keflex... they are for other uses other than what you need.

There are drugs that specifically for kidney infections and also for sinus infections.

Your doctor will know exactly what to give you.

This is a question to ask your doctor. You need the right antibiotic in the right dose. Don't self-diagnose or use someone's old prescription. Improperly treating an infection can make matters worse.

It would depend on what is causing the infection. Kidney infections are very serious and I wouldn't just take what you had around.

You should see a MD, get correctly diagnosed, and get the correct Rx
