I agree that Jesus was not a messiah.

God did save Jesus, by raising him from the grave.

To me, the point of Christ being the Messiah comes from three points of reference: he said he was, he made two prophesies that can be verified, and both prophesies came true.

Prophesy one: he prophesied that the temple would fall before the end of the generation he was speaking to. (Matthew 25. Some try to say this is talking about the second coming. No, it's talking about the first coming, and the fall of the temple as the sign that he had come and was rejected.) Fulfilled by Titus when he burned the temple, and the gold melted between the walls, so the Roman army took it apart stone by stone. How could someone have known about that thirty years in advance?

Prophesytwo: his own resurection. Paul and Peter and a host of others went to horrible deaths claiming to have seen Christ alive after he had been cricified. For Paul, who didn't know Christ when he was alive, one might say he was decieved. For Peter, who was with him daily for three years, that would be a lot harder. To say that there were ten men who all went to martyrs death they could have avoided simply by claiming that Jesus had never been raised or they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, and that all ten had walked with him daily for three years, and to think they were all decieved or lying is a little bit of a stretch for me. I think if Jesus had an identical twin, they'd have noticed by then.

So if he was a true prophet (as the evidence seems to indicate) and he claimed to be the Messiah, then everything else has to be figured in and figured out.

No I don't agree and the testimony of what happened to the Jews after they rejected Jesus is a powerful testimony that God had rejected them even as Jesus prophesied.

I do not agree. Jesus is Messiah, he fulfilled all the prophecies in the Old Testament. He did die, but the miracle is that he rose again the third day. I believe this with all my heart, soul and mind. My redeemer lives and will come soon! May God open your eyes that you may see.

Jesus was a rebel, someone who obviously hated Roman authority, and definitely one of the strongest men I have ever heard about. He was also a good person who taught values that every person should attempt to understand and live by. However, he was no Son of God- his name has caused far too many atrocities to be considered holy.

What difference does it mean to you. If one person wants to believe he was the messiah, more power to them, it must be what they need.
If someone doesn't believe, maybe that's what they need.
There's a reason why different cultures establish different beliefs, who's to say that my point of view isn't any better for me then yours is to you.
It's when we try to get everyone to believe the same thing that we run into trouble, I think all the different beliefs, lead to the same God, and God understands.

Ro 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
IN OTHER WORDS IF YOU CALL YOURSELF A JEW AND DO NOT BELIEVE IN JESUS THEN YOU ARE NOT A JEW
Re 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Re 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

The book of Revelation reveals tht the Jewish Temple will be rebuilt, Jews will again begin practicing their religion. Then the abomination of desolation will take place.

I pray the Lord reveals Himself to you. God bless Israel & u.
