I guess a lot depends on how old Joshua is. When my boys were little, they used to dress up in girls clothes and makeup, with the help of their big sister. My sister and I did the same thing to our little brother. This was when they were five or less. None of them have grown up gay or transvestite. For kids five or less, that's perfectly normal play. If Joshua is a lot older (like a teenager) it could indicated a confused sexual identity, but not necessarily homosexuality. Most gay people are not transvestites, and not all transvestites are gay.

Joshua may be Gay or not. You won't know until he grows up and actually becomes who he truly is. If you are against it, don't make a big deal of it. It could really mess him up for life. If you love him not matter what, just love him unconditionally and be there for him.
My Father was Gay (now deceased) and my brother loved to get all up in my stuff when I was younger. He was SO effeminate. I tormented him when we were young. He is two years older than me but I was in the "In" crowd and he was not. We both always had to deal with the fact that our Father was Gay because every one knew. I fought off the whole "it 's genetic" thing and talked crap about him, I gave in to peer pressure. After he died people came to my brother and I telling us how much they loved him. We found out he was with several of our friend's "straight" Fathers. Talk about a wake up call. He was even with the most popular girl in our school's Dad. He died when I was 14 of a drug overdose. My brother and I watched the whole thing.
My brother turned 35 today. I have no clue where he is. He disappeared 4 months ago. He is a drug and alcohol addict. He has had 2 failed marriages, 3 children he has never met, and can not keep a job. I have apologized to him for all of the crap I put him through when we were younger, and he accepted it. But I know in my heart that he has no self worth because I stripped him of it. He is so smart and talented but does not feel like he is complete. I did that to him. I hope, wish, and pray that he is fine, but am now tormented myself wondering where and how he is.
The big kicker to this story is that I am a Lesbian. I realized years later that I only made fun of him because I was jealous that he was true to himself when I was hiding in fear of the hatred I and others displayed toward him. I came out when I was 22 and finally found myself happy. Unfortunately, I and others scarred my brother too deep for him to ever be himself.
My advice to you is to love and support your brother to the day he dies. You can't really change who someone is but you can change how they live.

What does your brother being gay have anything to do with a car's sound system?
Depends on how old he is if he is under five then I really don't think he will be gay He is just curious. Or he could just be a metrosexual instead

Most people are gay when born, it takes their lifetimes for everyone around to acknowledge and accept.

how old is he? It could be just a phase if he's young. BUT if he's older and still likes to dress up like a girl than maybe there is something wrong. However, it is possible that he simply looks up to the women in his life such as your mother. Don't worry about it.

He may just be metro-sexual. But if he is going to be gay, just love and accept him, he is your brother after all. Family is the most important thing.

its possible. He may just be a cross dresser. He could have just been born in the wrong body. Its a mental condition.
