big difference between the above word and using it with the er after the g in the African American Community. This is for people who think it is a racial slur. (GARFIELD). FYI: Read up on lingo of different groups.

Never! It is extremely disrespectfull to the person it is being said to and the person saying it looks ignorant. For as far the African Americans in this country have come I am amazed that this generation is reversing all of that progress.

I'm white, and I don't understand why people use racial slurs. Although I know alot of black people, and they seem to call one another "n*gga" rather often. Yet if a white person uses the term, they get all bent out of shape.
I've been told that the term "honkie" when applied to a white person by a black person is supposed to be an insult. Makes no sense to me...

Yes, but I am white too. I may not understand the complexities. If I were black, and still in the same mindset, I would probably still not care if it was someone I was close to, although if it bothered me I would just tell them, but if it were a stranger I would kick their ***

it depends on what he/she has done in the past. have they ever made fun of you or put you down? if so, then tell them that its not acceptable. but if theyre just joking, you can either laugh with them, or tell them to not call you that. it all depends on your personal beliefs on the word.

Its all up to you. If you think that its derrogatory, then be stright up with him and tell him that you dont appreciate him calling you that! But if your fine, and since he is your best firend, then let him. Its all up to you!!

yes if it was my best friend. but if you don't like it, it is no big deal to let them know that they should not say that to you.
