a combination of both sweet and salty satifies both needs.
I like beer peanuts or chocolate covered pretzels.
if I eat something salty, I crave something sweet, and
if I eat something sweet like ice cream I need something
salty like pretzels to counter act it.

Depends on my mood, but sometimes i like the sweet and salty together--I used to pop butter popcorn and add a handful of captain crunch and M&Ms to it. Yum.

i think it depends on the type of person you are! me i love sweets snacks, but people who are the total polar opposite of me might think I'm crazy. You live and learn, your opinions might change.
