Not having closer is the worst thing, unfortunatley theres not much you can do about it. There are still guys in the past that I never heard from again, and it still breaks my heart when I think about it, but I know I cant' do anything about it. So I just grab whatever faith I have left, and hope for the next guy to be better then any of them.

Move on forward. He has said his goodbyes in a different way. Should he really care he will contact you through his new email address but I sure wouldn't sit waiting for it.

I think the answers you have gotten (some-NOT all) are a bit harsh but to an extent correct. Chalk it up to experience and try to let it go-and look for other people AROUND you that can be a real part of your life.
