Heaven? I thought this was Purgatory.

Ok, first, calm down. Remember: at least you're not a Scientologist. Feel better? Thought so.

I'm not sure what religious teachings you ascribe to, so I'm going to try and portray this universally. First of all. Even if you're not seeing heaven here, you're still looking for it, and that's the important part. I have yet to see a religion that says that there is nothing you can do to change your circumstances and you should not take any actions. All of them basically say that if you work hard at what they say, you're in the clear, so you have already taken the most important step. It's much better to doubt your spirituality when you're actually OK than to be assured of your spirituality when you shouldn't be. If heaven is right here, I'm sure you'll see it. That's another trend of the world's religions... Everything worthwhile happened gradually. Either way, my best advice is this: if you have questions, talk to someone who knows. A pastor, a rabbi, an imam, a... ...um... ...whatever it is that the buddhists have, whoever you feel is appropriate, and they'll help you out. As much as I've enjoyed trying to help you here, I highly doubt that people find salvation on Yahoo! Answers too often! So, in summary, give it time (but still remember to have fun!), and talk to someone in the know. I hope I was able to help!

Just do something for somebody you don't know and it need to be something big, You will feel a movement towards Heaven. No waste of life if you do for others with expecting nothing back. Kindness is the first step. sow some seeds and watch them grow. You can make a little Heaven for someone else. How about it. YOU HAVE SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TO DO, OR YOU WOULD NOT HAVE THE DEVIL ON YOU LIKE THAT. you just made my prayer list- I just did a small kindness, I hope you feel better with your tomorrows. oooo

Heard of parallax worlds? Where one world exists in the same space as another, but neither worlds--or inhabitants--are aware of the other. Once I had a vision of such a thing, and the world I got a glimmer of was heaven. Of course it was just a delusion, but one that sometimes haunts me in its reality during the hours that I experienced it. It was brought on by unusual circumstances that I'll not discuss here, but I've had other vision-like times during these circumstances previously. Wouldn't it be strange that the first ring of heaven might actually be on earth.

There is a new book that you might find interesting. "We Are Their Heaven" by Allison DuBois deals with the dead contacting the living, telling them that they are close by, and how the living are contacting dead loved ones, learning of the closeness. It's an interesting idea. DuBois is a well-known medium, apparently. Don't worry about not seeing it, if you were supposed to, you would.

There is no such thing as "a waste of life". You will see promises of Heaven in many ways, many times daily if you but look at at all the miracles around you. And for you negative pessimistic non-believers, when you can make a bumble bee fly (supposedly scientifically and aerodynamically impossible)...you can tell me life isn't a miracle. Of coarse it's my right not to listen. Peace to you.

Try to appreciate what you have. Be thankful. Notice the little things. TALK to GOD. LISTEN. Listen with a open heart. Appreciate yourself and others. Experience altruistic love. Love. Care. Give. Enjoy without judgement.

In other word, get a life you like, enjoy all that you can, with loving non judgemental kindness, and watch HEAVEN blossom.

Never Give UP! Keep searching and you will be able to KNOW IT!!

Yes it is a fact! The material enjoyment heaven is on a different planet, as well as the material sufferings hell. But there is a perfect opportunity for spiritual progress on the planet Earth. In order to realize this it is neccessary to completely surrender to the will of the Lord, as it is said in Sri Isopanishad,

Om purnam adah purnam idam,...and

Ishavasyam idam sarvam yat kincha...ma grdah kasya svid dhanam.

The first verse states that "The Personality of Godhead is perfect and complete. And becase He is completely perfect, all emanations from Him, such as this phenominal world, are perfectly equipped as a complete whole," This means two things. The first is that this world is "completely adjusted to produce complete things neccesary for the maintenence and substinence of this universe. No extranious effort by any other unit is required for this maintenence." The second is that "There is a complete facility for the small complete units, namely the living beings, to realize the Complete; and all forms of incompleteness are experienced only on account of incomplete knowledge of the complete. The human form of life is a complete manifestation of the consciousness of the living being, which is obtained after evolving through 8,400,000 species of life in the cycle of birth and death. If a human being does not realize his completeness within the Complete in this life of full consciousness, he loses the chance of realizing his completeness, and is put again into the cycle of evolution by the law of material nature." Then, furthermore it is stated,"Because we do not know that there is a complete arrangement in Nature for our maintenance, we make efforts to utilize the resources of Nature to create a so-called complete life of sense-enjoyment. This misleading life of sense enjoyment is called illusion, because the living entity cannot enjoy the life of the senses without being dovetailed with the Complete Whole. For example, the hand of the body is a complete unit as long as it is attatched to the complete body. When the hand is detached from the body, it may appear like a hand, but actually it has none of the potency of a hand. Similarly, the living beings are parts and parcels of the Complete Whole, the illusory representation of completeness is not enough to bring the desired result. The completeness of human life can only be realized when the human form of life is engaged in the service of the Complete Whole. Any service in this world, whether social, political, communal, international, or even inter-planetary, will remain incomplete unless and until it is dovetailed with the Complete Whole. And, when everything is dovetailed with the Complete Whole, the attached parts AND PARCELS ALSO BECOME COMPLETE IN THEMSELVES." Thank you for listening, Hare Krishna!

If you go to Hell, Earth is as close to Heaven as you can get. If you go to Heaven, Earth is as close to Hell as you can get. Life is not a waste, it is a gift! Every moment is sacred. Wake up and enjoy the ride. And remember that Hell is not hot, it's cold. Why do you think so many people are fat?

---Go to your room for a few hours seeking to connect with God. Wait on him to come and touch your heart and connect with you. Cry out for him. Call to Jesus. When God connects with you... you will see a piece of heaven.
---Your life has much purpose. You were meant to be a friend and son/daughter of the almighty, loving Creator of the universe. Only you can choose to waste your life.
---Jesus said in John 12, "5The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life." Ask God to reveal more and more to you each day what this means.
