if my front wheel of my car pass a crosswalk's second line on a red light with a camera on it do i get a fine?

Okay i live in California and today i was driving thru a small 4 way intersection and i didnt see a red light so i quickly braked and my front wheel of my car ended up on the second line of a cross walk and there was traffic even on the opposite side of my car thru the crosswalk intersection. Then i notice a camera on the center of the red light (the long camera kind i think) and so i backed up back into the first line of the crosswalk and the light changes green. So do you think i will get a fine or do you think it is considered as a quick stop? Give me your opinion! Thanks!

Ooo, oooo, ooo, Teacher I know this one, I used to live in Calif. Per the legal definition you could get a ticket for failure to stop. You are to come to a complete stop before or on the first line of the crosswalk or if there is another line before the crosswalk, that line. Most likely you will be fortunate and not get a ticket as most camera's are set up to capture someone 'running' a red light, which means you have to go through the intersection. Consider yourself one lucky person, and pay more attention to the signals.

No they will not give you a ticket for crossing the crosswalk in the middle of an intersection.

It is Illegal to stop on a crosswalk, but I think you would be able to contest the ticket if you get one, since you didn't actually go through the intersection.

it will be reviewed and may be looked at as a quick stop,,sometimes they are pretty lenient, the main thing is you stopped,and didn,t hurt anyone,,including yourself,i hope you well with this,,we all do it,,just now there starting to pay attention to it,,sometime,s the camera,s can help us,,and other times not,,good luck with it,,i hope you dint get a ticket.
