they live with us so no bills as far as rent or electric or gas or water, they just don't think and have maxed out credit cards and got themselves into to large of car payments that are drowning them. Now, they are screaming about how we don't care what happens and we were the ones that told them not to get the cars

No its not your responsibility.

But it is hard to say no to someone you love. It is also hard not to say I told you so, or this is what you should do to get yourself out of this mess.
Your child is always going to look to you to make things right for him or her, no matter what the age.
You shouldn't help them if it would hurt you financially, maybe you should recommend debt counseling and if you are able, try to ensure that they can keep their car or home.

I don't think it's the parents responsibility. I say that if you made the bills you should have to pay them. I can see the parents helping in certain situations. Say there are children in the home and the utilities are going to be shut off, then I think they should help. i guess too it all depends on the circumstances. If the kid just lost there job and fell on hard times that's different then if they just waste their money and don't pay bills.

No. The adult children made these bills and they can figure out a way to pay them. It's their own responsibility to do this.

Depends on the circumstances and how they got in debt.
If they are in genuine need a parent is always a parent no matter how old the child is.

it depends if they have a valid reason and this isn't a continuing problem. it's all up to the parent's decision but a parent shouldn't be responsible for constantly paying ur children's bills.

No, not legally. Ethically and morally? Who is to say. I have helped my children, and was later, MUCH later, paid back. It kept them afloat during a difficult time, and my husband and I had the wherewithall to help them. Now, if they were blow and go kids, we wouldn't have been so eager to help. Do what your heart commands of you.

NO< no; they made the BILLS let them figure out how to deal with them. If you keep bailing them out, they will never learn how to handle their Finances. Time to take the Crutches away.

Rescue? No... but if you can't count on your family for help, who can you count on? If it was a pattern... then they may need to excercise some tough love, but I think at any age a parent would want to help their child (your always a kid to your parents, anyway).

no, but some parents love their children that they want to see them happy especially if they are showing progress and spending their money wisely.

of course not, but a loving parent doesn,t want to see their child homeless or starving when they have the means to help
