Dear seeker,
This question is first step towards the long journey of Self Realisation. It is known as athato-brahma-jigyasa ie 'this is the curiosity to know the Self (Brahm)'.
Self Realisation is a science, and, just like any other science, ought to be learnt methodically, and preferably by approaching a spiritual master. I cannot answer this question in an authoritative manner, however, I can briefly present here my understanding.
While the external matter consists of the five gross elements, our body consists of 5 working senses, 5 perceptory senses, Mind, Intelligence, and Ego.
The creation, moving and non-moving, is subjected to three modes - sattvic = goodness, rajasic = passion, and tamasic = ignorance.
Our body, is a vehicle for the JivaAtma, the individual soul. It resides in the region of heart, and its size is the tip of the hair. It floats in our body on five different types of life forces.
Alongside the JivaAtma, is seated the ParamAtma, or the SuperSoul. SuperSoul is that feature of the Supreme by which he is present in all living entities.
The 'I' exists due to the cognitive power of JivaAtma, and is known as Ego.
Thus, one is not this body, or the mind, or the intelligence, or the ego. One is the individual soul.
This individual soul transmigrates bodies according to its Desires.
For a more exhaustive study of Self, please refer to the Bhagawad Gita, it is easily available. If you have any issues, drop me a line and I will only be too glad to assist you.
Best regards.

I am, mind , body, and soul. I think, I move, and my soul directs me to know what is right it's the part of me most connected to God. I think most people ignore their soul, and, are more concerned with bodily needs, but, your soul needs food also. When was the last time you did something totally unselfish? How did you feel? Try it if you haven't already, see if it makes you want to do more. Some how it makes you more connected to yourself then anything else.
You are whats inside, not the image people have of you, not the job you have. And not the place in society which you hold. You have to develop your soul to know who you are.

I think that I am a synthesis of mind, body and spirits.
I think that I wear my body, like I wear clothes.. i don't think I am only my body. I think that my soul/spirit/aura is a container that I keep my body in.
This is refered to as Chi or Qi in the martial arts, and its how you know when someone is looking at you, you feel when the phone is about to ring, or you can tell when someone is behind you.
This is a real oversimplification. :)

I am a spirit, who lives in a body and has a soul. However, I think that our spirits are sinful. Only the spirit of God is not sinful. Jesus was the only one who lived in a human body whose spirit was not sinful. By His power, I will become a more and more loving spirit, and a less sinful spirit.

We are not humans who have a spiritual experience. We are spirits having a human experience. We're growing and expanding our understanding.

I am a child of God. Created in his image, and an heir to his kingdom.
