From my knowledge the north koreans are going to test launch a long range missile, that is capable of reaching the U.S. and Japan. If we do not shoot it down, and they succeed. what should we do? with them knowing they can place a nuke on those same missiles. and if we do shoot them down what will they do? will they join china, and declare war on us, starting ww3, or just let it go?

If we shoot down DPRK's Taepodong 2 missile, there are several things that will happen and may happen.
If we shoot it down, then they wouldn't be able to test their range and accuracy, in so doing we are able to test the accuracy of our missile defense systems. While this is ongoing, other countries like China and Russia are monitoring our systems for vulnerability, for their own military purposes. It may also be considered an act of agression by DPRK, which something we have to risk, we have to project our power and capability, we have thousands of lives at risk because of these crazy people.

IF it happens, there will be a lot of griping and complaining in the world press and in the UN building.
China will not start a world war, because they will only attack an adjoining country to give them more land.
N. Korea will sue in the UN court>outcome? who cares!
no major conflict will arise because the destruction of an in-flight missile will be enough to show the opposition that they cannot reach us!

Well that's even if N. Korea even has the engine to reach the U.S. Most of what N. Korea says you need to take with a grain of salt. I was stationed in S. Korea for a year and heard way worse rumors of war and that was back in 93.

Think of it this way. Iraq started because of 9/11. And our "search" and "accusations" of WMD. We are in the middle of war...With Operation of so called "Freedom". If we were to attack N. Korea -- We'd have Operation UnNuke -- On our hands. Can we handle two wars? Both with two countries who share one common factor -- They don't give a damn about the other people. They care about THEMSELVES. We'd be starting another Vietnam III ( Vietnam being one...and Iraq = Vietnam II

Believe me, whatever happens....even if N Korea launches the missle and it destroys Los Angeles or something, the rest of the world will somehow find a way to blame the USA and say we brought it on ourselves. This, I am sure of.

Nothing is going to happen anytime soon because the launch weather window is already coming to a close as typhoon season approaches.

this is the stupidest question I over heard,, its a test , its not a threat..

what threat could possibly pose a cheap missile compared to the US 12, 000 nuke deployed world wide ?

go to sleep, take your meds, leave us alone with your imaginary threats..

your missile is a fart ok?

We shoot it down and it lands in their country and we tell them to sit back down for 5 more years and be quiet.
