We are all mistake makers. That is the absolute wonderment of God's grace. In the book of Romans it tells us that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".
To be a truly extraordinary christian is to accept God's free gift of salvation through his son Christ and then to strive each day to grow in the relationship with Him. Mistakes will still be made even by the " best christian". I am sorry that the Christian community has given you the false impression that you need to be perfect to come into God's presence. He loves you just the way you are.

I know what you mean. You want someone you can always look up to. Someone that will never let you down. A perfect example to follow. My Pastor is going through a divorce, and unfortunately, my respect for him is dropping with some things I am finding out. There is only one perfect example - Jesus. Let him be your friend and constant example. We are worse than mistake makers...we are sinners. But who cares, right? I try to not sin, and even when I do give in, I don't have to stay in the dumps of guilt long, because I know I am forgiven and am righteous before God through Christ Jesus. Take courage. Be of good cheer. God loves you the same whether you are perfect, or not. Do you know what that means?!!!!

Yes we all stumble but that is no excuse for not giving all diligence to live the Christian life. As far as extraordinary Christians ( I prefer objects of grace) there are many godly moms and dads who raise there children in the fear of the Lord. These although they get little or no recognition or praise like pastors or the like I believe are the extraordinary ones.

That is the key to becoming a truly extraordinary Christian, they do make mistakes, admit to those mistakes but are quick to repent and learn from them and not make the same mistake again. A truly extraordinary Christian knows we are all sinners saved by grace!

No one's perfect, but yes, I know a few 'extraordinary Christians'. They really want to please the Lord and are very close to Him. I hope and pray that I will be like that.

My bestfriend growing up is without sin ( well major... I'm sure she slips and curses once in awhile ) She has taught sunday school since we were in Junior High, she is an elementary school teacher, constantly is doing things for her church as well as other people, and is just an all around good person.

i do know somebody who is an extraordinary Christian -- she has never outwardly thought of herself above anyone else and views her place on earth to help others through community service, family & personal life, education and church affiliation.
