The real answer because we Americans are addicted to fat and salt. Cheese is loaded with it. It just kinda rolls over the taste buds. As chocolate is the aprodisiac for women, Cheese is for most men.

It isn't stupid, it's a good question. Cheese has a lot of fat and that makes it taste good. It is good when it's all melty and stringy like on pizza, or grated on mexican food, melted on a burrito or lasagna, yum I'm getting hungry!
