We are not to judge one another, but if someone says and feels in there heart that they have hatred for anyone then how can they call themselves a Christian.
Christian means to be Christ like.
I am certain that Christ did not hate anyone and still does not.

if christians hate sin then where does it stop?

"LOVE THE SINNER; HATE THE SIN."

This is a cop out. And, though often quoted, it's not in the Bible. It's true that God tells us to love one another as he loved us. It's also true that God says he hates sin. But Fundamentalists have taken these two diverse statements and made them into a defense for mistreating homosexuals, abortion doctors, and, heaven forbid, women who want equal rights. When attacked for their judgmental attitudes against gays, for instance, this phrase becomes the catch-all defense as to why their actions are okay in "God's eyes." By denying a gay man a right to equal and fair treatment under the law, Fundamentalists aren't "hating" the sinner - they're merely showing their displeasure with the sin. By using the national media to claim that gays are sick and need healing, they aren't showing "hate" - they're merely trying to "love" them by showing they need to be "healed."

Fundamentalists forget that we're not told to "hate the sin." We're told to forgive the sin. In Matthew 18:23-35 Christ tells of a slave who was forgiven his debts (just as Christians are forgiven their sins). This slave, however, refused to forgive the debt of a fellow slave (just as Christ asks us to forgive our fellow sinners). Christ called that slave "Evil." All who call themselves "Christian" absolutely must forgive the sins of any other sinner - even the homosexual. The moment they don't, the moment they start brandishing the "love the sinner but hate the sin" argument, they are themselves condemned by the very God they say they serve.

Remember that Christians are sinners.
A Christian who is having problems forgiving someone, dealing with hateful feelings toward them, needs our love and our prayers, not our condmenation.
Anyone who tries to tell you that Christians are perfect lies!!

To be a Christian is to be Christ-like. Someone who has hate in their hearts is NOT Christ-like. Your are right, hate the sin, but not the sinner. Satan inspires hate, not Christ.

Sometimes, Christians walk in the flesh instead of the Spirit and may hate for a while. This ruins their relationship with God and their testimony to others, but they are still saved by grace. If non-Christians should know us by our love and we aren't loving, then we better change real quick or stop using the name Christian.
As far as christians_a.... He is right in that the quote is not in the Bible, but it is Biblical. Rev. 2 talks about the church that has lost its first love, but note verse 6: "But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans[a sexually promiscuous cult] which I also hate."

if you have read the Bible you will be reminded of the time Jesus walked into the temple and saw people selling doves and money changers, he got mad and turned the tables over, not once, but twice.. it's called righteous anger. we as Christians are to have righteous anger about sin. most People are claiming that Christians are being rude and hateful because they are writing God's word down, Christians on yahoo didn't write the Bible, God did.. most are simply answering questions by what is written in God's word. if you are upset by what is in the Bible, talk it over with God, he wrote it. don't beat up the ones carrying God's message.

What is Christian?

What is Sin?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - betcha)

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

They want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.

I don't think so. True Chistians don't hate. We love with the fire of God, and we try to pull down evil in a non hateful way. I'm not sayin I'm like this, cuz I'm not. I've still got alot to work on here, but God will help me.

I agree, we shouldn't cast the first stone. Yet, we should also stand up for righteousness. If sin is non-existent, there is no need for repentance. Can there be salvation w/out repentance?

JESUS SAID AN EXAMPLE OF HATE.
Mt 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Mt 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
