Try these websites for information on a variety of organizations you may be interested in assisting and to find out more about what you can do to help. You can even find opportunities for assisting "virtually" from the comfort of your home!
I'm sure there are many other websites that can help get you started, but I hope these will help. Good luck!

Getting volunteer work is easy
first you need to think them non-profit organization and it's a lot of those I would consider you to think about the things you would like to as a career when your older or things you like to do as a hobby
you dont want volunteer any where you know what I mean?
The best way to go about that is to find a non- profit place that you will enjoy doing and will also build up your skill s far as your career plans go

Contact your local organisations. There will be many organisations in your locality. They are always looking for people to help out but can you think first, what is it you would like to learn.
Maybe design, web design, maybe putting a newsletter together, maybe you want to be a nurse. Whatever it is, think first what it is you want to do or be, and then go to organisations. Many organisations have their own newsletters so you can help with writing stories.
Maybe, you want to be a nurse, so you can go to your local nursing home and ask if they need help and ask them why you want to volunteer. Alaways go for something you are passionate about so you can enjoy giving and learning at the same time.
As the saying goes, "if you don't know where you want to be, then it doesn't matter where you end up." So know where you want to be, what you want to do with your life and watch how opportunities come when you go and search for them.
Hope that is helpful.

Think about what you feel passionate about as well as what you do well. The more interested you are in the cause, the more likely you will be to stick with it. Everyone has their special talents, and different organizations will be able to use those talents in different ways. There are so many resources online that can help match you with organizations that have needs.

Pick something that you want to do, contact them and offer to help in some way. There are plenty of places you can help (i.e. nursing homes, "meals on wheels", hospitals, most not for profit services, etc), just choose one, call them and volunteer your time.

Find something that interests you in a non-profit organization, and just volunteer.
