i've know this guy for 2 years and i really like him.... the thing is that he's my sister's bestfriend. should i tell him how i feel or just lay off cuz he's my sisters friend?

Talk it over with your sister first since it is her best friend and dating him could possibly make things awkward, especially if a breakup should ever occur. She most likely shouldn't have a problem with it, especially since it's not her boyfriend. If she says no, there's most likely a good reason for it and you should respect her wishes. Family should always come first, they'll be there for you when no one else will.

If he is your sisters boyfriend then lay off. but if he is just a friend as you said just start hanging closer to him and you won't have to say much about it you will take him away from her and maybe they can just be friends with you around. I'm willing to bet he likes her and her likes him or they would not be friends. So best to stay out of the way.

Do you have any idea if he likes you back? No harm in letting him know you are interested...just be aware if the two fo you were to get together, there could be some jealousy from your sister that her bestfriend is spending time with you instead of her...

If you really like the guy you should go to your sister and get her opinion on the matter. If she doesn't have a crush on him herself, you dating him should work out just fine.

Discuss it with your sister. Find out what her feelings for him really are, and find out if she would object to you seeing him. If they are truly just friends, she may be thrilled to have you see him.
