Surround yourself with friends who are good people. Not the ones who are selfish and only care about themselves. Be yourself and don't give in to the pressure, in the long run none of it matters!

Yes... lol, be careful! :)
Basically, you may feel you want to slack off and whatnot, esp. at the beginning, but aim high all four years! When you end up a senior with an awesome GPA, the rest of your life will be so much easier! (As in you can get lots of great scholarships, etc. to really good colleges.) Not just that, but get involved in clubs, in the community, and of course GOOD friends, too, but don't just let life be a boring routine - try to really experience the world if you can, or first start with just your city/state. And yeah, try to compete in things - it'll make you feel a sense of accomplishment, or get you to aim higher. And don't let anyone tell you what you can/can't do - that is your individual ability, and you can go as far as you want with yourself and you should never push yourself too hard. :)
High school is a really great experience - but make sure you seize every learning opportunity! :)

This is beginning of an awesome adventure. High School is a blast. First, find several activities you like..sports, theater, chess, whatever. Keep busy, meet new ppl, study hard. These memories will last you a life time!! The more active you are in school will keep you out of trouble and also looks great on your high school transcripts. oh yea and your permanent record doesnt follow you forever lol

Highschool sucks.
Point blank, it stinks.
You're going to find yourself in so much Drama, you won't be able to digest it. Sometimes you're going to want to scream. This is where you destinguish yourself from the others. This is your time to shine. Highschool is so much more than textbook learning. However, drama, stress, pressure and all.. enjoy it. Those four years are going to FLY by. Next thing you know, you're a sophmore in college going, "How the hell did I get here?"
My senior year was my best year. Good luck -- You're going to need it. :)

Don't listen to what anyone else tells you but your parents. Teachers are not always right. School is for learning, not socializing. Leave the boys alone, hit the books, take advantage of what you can learn while it's free.
