because he told me that he would call me and never did. He sounded like he was mad that I had called him. He said very firmly that he would call me later. That it won't be tomorrow because he has to go to Chicago for work. Just later. It made me cry when I hung up the phone.
When we are together he showers me with compliments and affection. He tells me how much he loves me. I often don't hear from him for days due to his hectic work schedule. So I am usually the one that calls him, I only call every few days. He told me the other day that at work he can't kiss me. And the other day I was at his work talking to him until the bosses daughter walk by and he walked away. I just don't understand his manner on the right now especially on the phone.
Why would he be like that? I have asked him if he has a girlfriend or something and he said absolutely not.

His phone is disconnected at his house, otherwise I would call him there.

WOW...sounds like you have a pretty serious issue here...
Sorry to break it to you, but I really think that if he DOESN'T have a g/f like he's said, then he's probably aiming for someone else, or maybe he's just toying with your emotions.
His hectic schedule is one thing, but PLEASE don't tell me he doesn't even take 20-30 mins to eat something during which he can phone you to say hello or what not and even if he doesn't eat, it only takes 30 seconds to call someone and say hello.
It might be hard but I wouldn't call him any more if I were you. Don't bother contacting him in any way, if he is really interested let HIM do the chasing.

Talk to him again. Ask him what's the problem or if you are the problem. If he evaded or said nothing, you should worry. In a relationship, you should be honest with each other. If you're thinking he has a girlfriend, then ask some of his friends, family or co-workers. Maybe they know something.
But you also give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he don't want to be bothered on his work. Or you only think too much. The best solution to your problem is talk to him seriously. Tell him your feelings and your worries.

It sounds like your relationship is on his schedule and at his convenience. Stop making yourself so available. Get a life (outside of he and you) so you don't waste time waiting for the phone to ring. Spend time with friends, take up a hobby...it's quite likely that if he really does like you, when he sees you living life and not as concerned about his every move, he may have a change of heart and you may see more of him...
However if that doesn't happen, be prepared to decide if you can accept the current status quo. It doesn't sound like you're happy with how things stand now...so do what you need to do to make your life a happy one...that may or may not include his participation in it...

Yeah, this doesn't sound like a very good situation. If I were in your place, I would call him and tell him that if he didn't tell me what was going on, we would break up so I could find a relationship where I feel wanted.

Just keep your eyes open for any obvious foul play. In the mean time give him a two week grace period to CALL YOU. If he hasn't called you by then, you should start trying to move on with your life without him.

Well if you really think that hes cheating you then you need to get some eyes around where ever he is...people to keep an eye on him for you and tell you when he does things he shouldn't.
