I agree. You should be praying anyway, wether you need something or not. The bible says to pray without ceasing. It also says to wait on God. However, the word wait was a direct translation and is a more active word in it's original text. You can't JUST sit in your room and pray that God will deliver you from this. You have to know when to act as well. Like answer the phone, it could be an employer offering you a killer job, or a friend you haven't heard from in a while who needs someone to look over their house for some time. Ya' know? People reading this will do some intercessory prayer as well, i'm sure of it. God answers prayers, but he expects YOU to do something as well.
No matter what. It's not what happens to you that makes you a christian, it's how you react to situations. Christians can be homeless, wealthy, scared, alcoholics, addicts, etc.
If you need any guidance go ahead and contact me.

First I would figure out how I got to the place where I was days from being evicted. I would make what ever changes necessary to make sure it doesn't happen again. In the mean time I would be packing and preparing for the move.
The very best you are gonna get by way of divine intervention is the strength to pull yourself up by the bootstraps and get your life together. It isn't God's job to fix your life. It's God's job to support you while you fix it yourself.
How much would you learn from your experience if you could mess everything up and get your "genie in the Bible" to blink his eyes and make it all better?
Remember, the day after tomorrow, when life seems really bad, it's not God's fault for not intervening. It's the result of decisions you made days, weeks, and months ago that didn't seem very important at the time, but set in motion all the events that brought you to the place you are now.
Figure it out and make your life better. You can do it. Make God proud.

Wow that's a tough question to answer. Just praying well not help. You might have to start looking into programs in your area that help the poor. I am sorry you are in this particular situation. If you go to a church ask tell your pastor of your problem. Hopefully he is a kind of enough man to come up with some solution to your problem. The best thing to do right now is get involved with organizations that well help the poor such as out reach centers. To get something done in your life require action from you and also pray good luck.

the 23rd Psalm is the best known of all the Psalms- we might say it is the keystone message of the Bible.
it tells man he shall never want, when he has the realization (or conviction) that the Lord is his Shepard: the realization that Infinite Intelligence supplies every need.
if you get this conviction today, every need will be met now and forever-more; you will draw, INSTANTLY, from the abundance of the spheres. Whatever you desire or require; for what you need is ALREADY ON YOUR PATHWAY.
The Lord is my Shepard.....i shall NEVER want.
we used to hear people say, "i do not think it is right to ask God for money or things." They did not realize that this creative Principle is within each man...Man is created in God's image.
Jesus Christ knew this law, for whatever He desired or required, appeared immediately on His pathway, the loaves and fishes and money from the fish's mouth.
this is not open to a chosen few, "Whosoever calleth on the name of the Lord shall be delivered. The Lord is YOUR Shepard and MY Shepard and EVERYBODY'S Shepard.
You need not worry if you have God in back of you, for "all that the Kingdom affords is yours."
The situation with God remains the same: "The Lord is YOUR Shepard: you shall not want." and "If one door shuts, another door opens."
in closing.....do not be fooled by the darkness before the dawn. Your dawn of Success, Happiness and Abundance is sure to come.
the Psalm also says....."He restoreth my soul." Your soul is your subconscious mind and must be restored with the right ideas.
this is done by making an affirmation which 'clicks'.
Try mine....."He has weapons we know not of."
He has channels that will surprise you.
This means that even in the presence of the enemy situation, brought on by your doubts, fears or resentments, a way out is ALREADY prepared for you.
Remember......
The Lord is YOUR Shepard; YOU shall never want.

I"ve been there....wasn't saved then, but was homeless with a child due to a very abusive relationship (I left and went to a battered women's shelter). What did I do? Pray a whole lot...and got saved... I was placed in areas I wouldn't have normally been, and found more help and was taken out of situations I wouldn't have been able to on my own.... God answered prayers in ways I never imagined.

Seek out the nearest assistance ministry in your area, call your local church (you don't have to be a member), then ask God to intevene for you and save you.
Then remember this hon, you really need to change your ways ... God does not want His people to live on the streets, you need an attitude change fast. Is it possible you are living an emotional spirituality and not a real and practical one? Do you constantly seek emotional gratification from God?

Seek the assistance of the churches and most importantly, PRAY: ask God what he wants you to do; ask him to show you the path; ask him to provide you with the wisdom to understand his plan for you and above all, accept his will. Remember, he looks after the birds, and surely you are worth more to God than a bird. Accept that God's will is the best route for you - althought it may not be the easiest, but it is the best. PRAY. I will pray for you as well. All my love in Christ.

I would just like to thank you for the word "soulishly." I think it's delicious. I would make a list of things that could possibly help, and put God at the bottom. Come on, he would want you to do it that way!

I have been there, my old truck sold for what I needed for my
mortgage 2 days before it was due. And shame on you who think
it is his fault, even with jobs we sometimes fall behind through no
fault of our own. Trust in God.
