They cross the road to steal the jobs of hard working chickens, who's greatgrandparents crossed the road many, many years ago

Because they want to show the raccoons that it can be done. Just saw some the other day, ran across on the highway in the middle of 70mph traffic. Almost caused a wreck, but they made it: Mom and 4 little ones. She just closed her eyes and ran across.

Because MAN in all his glory.."cough,gack!"...has made it practically impossible for any wild creature to have there own spot in this world anymore. Rattlesnakes, cougars, bears, raccoons.coyotes. etc. are encroaching on US? I think not. They were there here long before mankind. This includes the ducks too.

To jump in my pool so I can throw stuff near them to scare them out...t cheese me off, you get squished, you name it. There have been a bunch of ducks this spring/early summer. Maybe we should be stashing a few in the freezer in case winter is particularly bad.
