Ozone depletion (a hole in the ozone layer) is quite different from global warming. Deforestation (cutting down of trees) causes an increase in the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (since there are fewer trees to use it up). This gas traps the heat of the sun. The temperature of the earth rises and this is global warming. Global warming is a very serious problem; the ice caps are melting, causing sea levels to rise. Soon coastal areas may be underwater!

An increase in the average temperature of the Earth. It is not caused by a hole in the ozone layer. The hole is actually closing since CFC's were banned. Global warming is caused by an increase in certain gases, mainly carbon dioxide which prevents heat from the sun that hits Earth from escaping back to space.

Global warming is when the Earth's average temperature increases. Essentially, the global climate gets warmer. This will result in an increase in violent weather, mass extinctions, and other harmful things to life no earth.

It is a scientific theory that states human generated carbon emissions, (25% from the US) is weaken the O3 layer and causing the average earth temperature to rise.
Over the last couple of decades it is a fact that the earth's average temperature is going up by about 2 degrees, but there are alternate explanations.
The leading counter theory is that the earth has a natural wobble in its rotation. This wobble is the current leading explanation for ice ages.

the hole slowly grows in the ozone layer from pollution...letting in all the stuff the ozone layer protects us from...and causing the icebergs to melt, causing the sea to have less salt...causing...something. i remember someone talking about it. something that causes the whole world to slowly suffocate because of too much carbon dioxide. and then we all die. arent chain reactons great?
