When you chop onions or garlic, the smell will stay on your hands for days. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

After cutting your onion use the same knife and rub the knife blade back and forth on your hands under cold running water, it will take all the onion smell off your hands.

If it is on your hands there are two tricks i know. One run very cold water through stainless steel faucet when the faucet gets very cold rub your hand up and down it. It will take the smell away. Don't know why... it just does.
Or 2 put a spoon in the freezer for about 21 minutes. Again rub hands over it. The cold will remove teh smell.
In a house... febreeze or lysol maybe?

Hmmm, have you tried Listerine (original formula). A good teeth flossing. Tongue cleansing with tootbrush too. Don't brush teeth to hard. Also, get the gumlines, and inside of the inner lips, and cheeks. Hope you talking about bad breath. Use your original toothpaste. Rinse with the Listerine.

Then chew your favorite gum, 2 pieces for a about 7 minutes. I suggest cinnamon.

Do you mean in the air? open some windows, its better than perfume sprays.
On your hands or countertops? Rub a little lemon juice between your hands/on the counter. wash well. Or try a paste made of salt/water or baking soda/water. Rub hands/countertop well, wash.
