All kinds of things!

We're particularly fond of curry - or a lot of us are, anyway!! (I truly believe that the only reason Britain invaded India was to steal their recipes!!)

We're usually fond of potatoes too! But British people eat food that originated in ALL parts of the world..! We're not too fussy, despite our reputation! We love Chinese food, especially in the form of a 'take-away'! We love Italian food, although we constantly complain that the spaghetti sauce splashes all over our clothes!

Unfortunately home cooking is being strangled by the 'ready meal'. But some people still know how to peel potatoes...!

More traditional food is meat pies, or puddings - which aren't desserts, they're just like a pie, except that they're covered in suet pastry and steamed in a bowl (instead of being baked in the oven.)

Roasted meat is traditional too, fish and chips, sausages (the great British banger!) bacon and eggs...! The list is endless!

But I mustn't forget to mention bread! It's not as important to Britons as it is to the French, which is why the revolting ready-sliced loaf is available, but bread is traditionally a very important part of British food - and many people still eat sandwiches for lunch..!
; )

We like sweet stuff too - hence all the sweet desserts, cakes, puddings, pies, & trifles!!
