That answer wholly depends on your current size & weight, and your natural rate of metabolic activity.

If you are overweight (not if you "think you look" overweight - but if you are medically overweight) - then yes, burning 200 calories + a healthy diet of 1500-1800 calories a day would help.

The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

You bet it will! If you are wanting to use the bike to lose weight, I would suggest that you pedal it for a minimum of 20 minutes, and work hard. You might want to warm up for 5 minutes, and then go to a harder level, or increase the resistance and stay there, maybe that's what you're doing already? Leisurely riding, and really working are two different things, so since you're already on the bike, might as well work hard!

Any amount of calories you burn on that bike will help you achieve good results UNLESS you aren't taking in enough calories everyday. Everyone has different caloric needs/numbers vary according to body structure, height, age, etc.
I hope this helps you.

1 pound = 3500 cal
to lose a pound a day (which is as much as is healthy) you need to create a deficiency of 500 cal. some can come from exercise and the rest diet ie cutting down on fat and sweet stuff

It depends on how much you weigh now and how many calories you eat every day. shape.com has some good calculators to help you figure it out.
