The man who refused to lose Rocky Marciano had a record of 49 wins 0 losses 0 draws and 43 ko's. He was Champ from 1952-1956. He was probably the hardest puncher in heavyweight history possessing dynamite in both hands. He was very determined and aggressive and nobody had more physical endurance than the Rock! He used to run 12 miles a day during training running up hills to build up his powerful legs. Rocky had no fear whatsoever and never got beat!

Ali couldnt hold up to the stronger fighters of the 90's , 2000's. the win over foreman was a fluke. Lewis would have crushed him. Tyson never beat anyone with any skill or heart and Tyson was the most one dimensional boxer of all time...period. Marciano was only 187 pounds...would withot a doubt have been the best light heavyweight of all time but too small to be best heavyweight.
My answer, Larry Holmes. For anyone who ever saw him fight in his prime you would probably asgree. He had very quick hands, didnt get hit much, punched harder than Tyson (trust me) and could box with the best of them.

Iron Mike Tyson with out a doubt he had the Best combo of speed and power ever in his prime he was a counter puncher not just trying to KO everyone he fought
If Roy Jones Jr had stayed heavyweight and fought Mike Tyson and won he would have been the best fighter ever in all classes

Marciano, Rocky (märsÄä'nÅ) , 1924–69, American boxer, b. Brockton, Mass. His real name was Rocco Francis Marchegiano. Failing to become a professional baseball player, Marciano turned to boxing and won 27 of 30 amateur bouts before he turned professional in 1947. On his climb to the heavyweight title, Marciano became the second boxer ever to knock out (1951) Joe Louis. On Sept. 23, 1952, Marciano won the title by knocking out Jersey Joe Walcott in 13 rounds at Philadelphia. The only heavyweight champion with a perfect professional record, Marciano was undefeated in 49 fights and successfully defended his title six times before retiring in Apr., 1956. Noted for his powerful punching ability, he won 43 of his pro bouts by knockouts. He died in a plane crash..

Muhammad Ali, best heavyweight Sugar Ray Robinson best pound for pound fighter. Best fighter to never win the championship Peter Jackson and best pound for pound fighter to never win a title Sam Langford. Honourable mention Jack Johnson, Joe Loius, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano and Larry Holmes. Pound for pound Roberto Duran, Roy Jones junior, Sugar Ray Leonard and the list goes on. Too many great fighters to mention.
Muhammad Ali had many assets, his abilities and total self confidence. When he fought George Foreman, time was against him, the experts didn't think he could beat the invincible George Foreman. Younger, stronger, but he believed in himself.
when he walked through the foyer George was punching the heavy he never once looked a him, if he did he would have seen huge dents in the bag the size of a helmet. he walked on he knew how strong George was verifying it wouldn't make much difference. He didn't know how fast George was, he found out that he was training with lighter fighters as you do to improve your speed and footwork when cutting off the ring and gauging the speed of the opponent. When round one rang he threw 12 lead rights its a sucker punch that threw George off, annoying him, he physically pushed his head down to get dominance and he used the rope a dope to try and take out the sting in his punches. All of this was draining George physical resource.
Ali in short showed through the years that he never ducked a worthy opponent, displayed outstanding courage. Ali vs Frazier III, he out on his feet when he found out that he had won the fight returned to his corner and collapsed. In the heat and humidity of Manila that both pushed their bodies past the level of exhaustion. He had fast hands and feet. Ability to change fight plans, physical, mental strength. His fight with Ken Norton when he had a broken jaw proved this, the biorythms were high intellectually and mental even though he wasn't physcially fit.
He's amazing man.
Sugar Ray Robinson record is unbeleivable and so are his skills.

Reign... You have to look at Marciano or 'the Brown Bomber' Joe Louis.
Ability: Ali ( 'Bom By Yay' ) or Lennox Lewis.
Tyson would have been the best (on all accounts), if he NEVER met Robin or Joined with Don King!

Tyson in his prime could take out anyone including Rocky Graciano, Ali and Foreman all in thier prime. THink about it!1!1!
Rocky Graciano didn't have the competition Ali had Foreman had, Frazier had, Tyson had.
Do you really think Rocky whatever could beat Wladimir Klitchko? If you believe that you lying to yourself or you don't really watch boxing?

Jack Johnson. He had power speed and defense that had never been seen before. He had to fight, knowing that white America wanted him to lose. He had to leave the country due to legal problems and then had trouble getting a fight in Europe. He lost to an over sized chump named Jess Willard in a fight where he was worn out more by being on the run and being tired of not being able to get back to America. He was dominant in his day.
