Or he was a rebel leader, a thorn in the side of the roman empire, was caught and crucified for his troubles?

Or whole thing lie?

First I'll address the question of whether the whole thing was a lie. It is an interesting fact that the ressurrection of Jesus is the best documented event in ancient history. Writers of the day raved about it in Christian, pagan, and secular texts. It was a very big thing.

If he was a rebel leader, it would probably require him to rebel. However, Jesus did not incite anyone to attack the roman empire. The roman empire had not even a reason to condemn him when he was put to death. They turned him over to the people to decide. So the theory that he was a thorn in their sides seems to be a weak one at best.

So those two alternatives are out. Jesus was foretold by the prophet Isaiah. 10% of all the things he is quoted having said in the gospels is directly from the Old Testament. That is the criteria used to determine whether he is the Messiah. His claim is never bragging as one who would want to draw attention to himself, but he always gives his evidence by appealing to Scripture.

Some would try to claim ignorantly that Christians use Jesus as their savior as a reason to commit sins. If they do, they are fighting Scripture which says we have died to sin, so we can abide in it no longer (Romans 6). This has caused much persecution of the church through the years. God is clear when he says the law was given to men for us to obey. Christians are not bound to the law, we now follow it willingly.

Yes, Jesus suffered and died on a cross out of love for me, along with the rest of humanity.

jesus died yes out of pure love for us but the main reason why he died was to pay for the sins of the world. christian or not we are all sinners and what jesus did for us on the cross at calvory is because he loved every one. Jesus didn't have troubles, he died to save the world. no one ever knows if jesus was a rebel or not, but those that do beleive on him will get to spend eternity with him in heaven. with jesus dying on the cross was the best price he payed so that beleivers wouldn't have to suffer in a big pit of fire in Hell for ever.

Dear:Sara Joh:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh:3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh:3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The first two.

If it was a lie, it was a great lie. Read what Jesus said. Read the bible. NO ONE could make that up.

Love your ENEMY the MOST?

Who would make that up?

Think about it. WHO would say LOVE YOUR ENEMY THE MOST!?

Who would lie about that without taking credit.

The person who said that goes deep, deeper than most of us can actually DO in life!

Can you do that?

Can you LIVE that?
