Well, yes and no, not exactly."Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is more like a re-wording of the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament or Gospel.

Jesus, in the Gospel breaks down the ten commandments into 2 commandments. The first is " Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul and all thy mind. The second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law of the prophets." So, "Love thy neighbor as thyself" is very similar...in fact, almost identical to the Golden Rule as we know it today, but not exactly.

Whether it is in the Bible or not, you can never go wrong by treating others the way you want to be treated. As far as the Bible goes, unless someone can give EMPIRICAL proof of being the word of God, I'll keep it handy when I run out of toilet paper.

Yes

Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Another way of saying this is expressed throughout the Bible "love your neighbor as yourself"

Leviticus 19:18
" 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Luke 10
26"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" 27He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" 28"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

James 2:8
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.

if you keep the golden rule but forget the commandments then you do error. for Jesus said to do the will of His Father in heaven and the will of God is---1jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Greek christians are a sad sad bunch. Zeus is mad because Zeus was your God. ROmans came to Greece and conquered them and the Greeks think they are the first christians because of Ego. I think its very lame that your people used to worship Zeus and some other Greek Gods and Goddesses and you trade him in for Jesus the son of a war god.

Yes in meaning but not verse.

12 “All things, therefore, that YOU want men to do to YOU, YOU also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean.
