I want to know how old do you have to be to baby-sit in Kansas.

im not totally sure about the state law but i know on fort riley you have to be at least 12 years old to babysit.

there is no legal age, a child may be left home alone or may car for a younger child as soon as they are competent with handling emergency situations

so a child is old enough if they know when (and how)to get out of the house if necessary and when and how to dial 911
