thats slightly to generally to furnish a canines a shower. Its not good for thier epidermis, it could dry it out and easily reason problems which could make the canines scent. without seeing our surroundings or the canines its demanding to wager the difficulty. it would desire to be a epidermis, or yeast difficulty, that must be seen by ability of a vet. it would desire to be the canines is restricted while you're long gone etc and is getting grimy because of the fact its in a small section and not potty experienced yet. If the canines is being saved outdoors, it chilly be getting into some thing.it would desire to be nutrition or flea hypersensitive reactions inflicting epidermis problems.... bassets even have long ears and super dew flaps on thier cheeks that drag in each little thing they consume or drink. might desire to this be the source of the scent? attempt wiping ears and face with a toddler wipe after feeding time. i might communicate on your breeder and or your vet, and seem to the canines environment. good success Candice

You are actually bathing your dog too much! You are causing damage by frequent washings by removing essential oils from the dogs coat. Try a dry shampoo, I use this on my dog, who is also smelly, and it works great!

Some pet stores sell scented dog shampoo. Give it a try and see if it helps.

A hunting tactic for dogs is to mask their scent by rolling in something funky. your dog might be doing that.
