This actually happened, in the Bible there's a story about a man named Abraham and God asked him to kill his only son Isaac. And in Abraham's heart he was going to go through with it, he was going to kill his son because God told him to do it, but at the last second an angel appeared and told Abraham to stop and instead of having to kill his son, God sent an animal instead. So God gave Abraham his son back.

I would hope that I would have the faith and courage Abraham had, if God asked me to do this.

I noted that recent question and concept it became form of wonderful because why wouldnt someone have self belief something excellent in the front of their eyes if it became immediately out shown. yet then what's the definition of shown? i'm getting why individuals are atheists. I dont get why individuals are anti faith. i imagine maximum atheists are atheists because they purely cant have self belief in something like a God even as there is not any genuine evidence of a God and each and each and every historic references to faith and God after time has a tendency to sound somewhat antiquated and primitive. i imagine maximum anti faith atheists have purely had some undesirable studies with some religious human beings or a faith and function a chip on their shoulder. i imagine really very few have died specially using faith that wouldnt have died had faith not in any respect existed. each and every warfare and persecution dedicated through a collection or a rustic had each and every thing to do with greed and capacity and little or no to do with faith. Had faith not in any respect existed, each and each and every of the wars nevertheless might want to have occured, imo. they purely might want to were fought lower than a diff banner. human beings always pick to say what percentage undesirable issues were done through religious human beings, yet then in addition they low cost each and each and every of the sturdy, too. faith has done a lot to help humanity besides. Non christian gvts, like communism, that specially made effective faith became ousted from the rustic, have killed a strategies a strategies more advantageous human beings contained in the historic previous of the global then so called religious wars and persecution.

It is an interesting paradox. Jesus said that unless we hate our mother and father we can have no part in him. Which doesn't mean send them nasty letters or bomb their house, it means that compared to God, our love for anyone else should be as nothing. If, and that's a really big if, God told me to kill my family, I think I would personally have a hard time doing it. Fortunately, knowing my Scriptures, I know that God would not ask such a thing of me. I would know that whoever was asking me was not God, but the enemy of God sent to deceive me.

You are playing God!
Then God knowing you, won't let you do it, right!
Abraham was not ordered to kill his beloved son, he was ordered to offer God the most precious thing in his household.
Then the prediction is that God has offered thy Son Jesus Christ to be sacraficed by man, but man did not saved him.
So now you can ask the question again.

No. I would chose not to go into heaven and give my loved one a chance at a happy life on Earth. What kind of God would ask that anyway???

Guess What, Abraham- the father of the prophets- got that message and it was to kill Ismail (Ishmael), and Ismail reply was simply "If it is God asking, here is my neck"
So God replaced his neck with a sheep that Abraham slaughtered and this is why till to date Muslims in their Hajj do that sacrifice.

If you believe in God, you give yourself to Him as it is giving yourself to your creator and obedience is always demanded because if you believe in God, you would believe that God is nothing but for the Good He is demanding.

First, I'd question whether the being who told me to do this was actually God. Second, Christ said there was only one sin that could not be forgiven, and this ain't it. Third, God said this to Abraham, and then relieved him of the task once he showed his willingness.
