The reason why Jesus is the only path to God, because He gave His life for us so we would not be separated from God, by tying to get to heaven by our own doings and deeds and thoughts.
Jesus says, I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life. No one will enter to my Father's House except though me.

Your question would indicate that Jesus is not god -- after all, how could he be the path to god if he were god.
