i have two computers.one with windows xp,and one with windows 98.i was wondering if i can copy windows xp from one computer and put it in the one that has windows98?that way they will both have xp.if so how do i do it?thank you

Not legally.You can look for sale in computer stores and I have seen a price as low as $50 for an upgrade from Win 98 to XP.Before doing this you must make sure that your computer meets all requisites for Windows XP.

You cannot copy Windows-XP. What you can do is if you have the original windows-xp software CD, you can upgrade your Windows 98 to XP.

No. However, If you have a Microsoft copy of Windows XP (not a restore disk from a computer manufacturer) you can use it to load XP on your other computer.

You can copy the xp files to the other computer, but it will not work. If you want to make the second system xp, you have to use an XP bootable cd and install it from that cd.

You can but you can't get any upgrades. Go on eBay. I picked up an original , unused Windows XP at a bargain price.
