Have you tried "slipping her the pinky"? It worked on my Boxer.
You could also try a "choker"

My dog was a puller and a complete nut on a leash, I tried the gentle leader, you can find these in most big pet stores, it works just like a harness does on a horse, it gives gentle correction when pulling and the dogs learn how to walk correctly on a leash. I call it my dogs brains!!!!! lol good luck, i would not recommend a choke collar, they pinch and hurt :(

Ever see the TV program The Dog Whisperer? Caesar has the answers to your dog problem. Collar needs to be thin and just behind the jaw line. Like the dogs that walk around at the dog shows. Keep her head up and away you will go. You won't have to muscle her ever again. Be the alpha. Think dog and she will accept you as her pack leader. Be quiet and strong assertive. Good luck!

Some dogs are just naughty. lol.
Try buying her a Gentle Leader. It's a sort of harness that fits over the head. It really helps.
But you'll peobably eventually have to go to training classes to teach her some manners. She's too darn big to gallop around the neighborhood like a horse. She could knock over a child, or run in the street.

i don't know where you live but the chain store petco has training classes for new dog owners and they teach you in the store. also try using a choker collar it tightens on the dog and when she pulls she will sound horrible but don't feel bad when she starts up stop walking and say no real deep and strong like a man and have her sit then lie down and only focus on your face as you say bad and her name . then when she walks nice give her a healthy real like carrots or low fat snacks from the pet store made out of whole grain like dogie kibbles. or try a harness but for dogs learning to walk a choker is the best and be consistent dogs are like children they take time and discipline

I have a couple of suggestions. First of all, get one of those harnesses that fits over her nose (not a muzzle, but a harness. They sell them at Walmart). If she has that on, she will not be able to pull. Also, when you walk her, make sure that she walks next to you or behind you- keep the leash tight. When she walks in front of you, she thinks that she is leading you around and can do anything that she wants.

Yes, like everyone else....train train train. You just have to keep at it. Our dog was so stubborn when we were leash training him, but like everything else in training dogs, you have to keep at it. Let him know that he cant go outside unless he has his leash on. When youre walking him, keep it tight at first. He has to earn distance over time. Good Luck!!

It was hard for me also to get my dog to walk on a leash. Just practice with your dog every day on the leash and he/she will get use to it. Be patient!!

Sounds like she is in control. Show her who is boss. I don't mean to be mean. Just give verbal commands like " get behind" or "back" just with a small jerk of the leach. Always works for me, but I have the smartest dogs in the world, Border Collies, but I am a little bias.

Go here for an awesome dog training program http://OnlineDogTraining.enle.info/?8loR
Since it is obvious that you do not have a clue about obedience training, your services should be for free. You cannot train even an adult dog for 8 hours a day. About the most that can be done at any one time is 10 - 20 minutes and that is with an adult dog and not a puppy. The attention span on this baby is extremely short and training session should be no more than 10 minutes and twice a day. Additionally, there isn t going to be much learned if you will only be training for 5 days. Obedience training is cumulative and is done over a much longer period of at least several weeks to several months.
What you can charge is determined by your experience, reputation, and accomplishments and in a case like this, should also include guaranteed expectations. Just working with dogs over several years, is not the experience that is necessary to be a dog trainer. There are too many people who are putting that title to their name and fleecing the public. Don t be one of them.

It sounds like you need a chocker collar, and a good leash. your dog may not like the chocker, but thats a good sign, when she trys to take off, it well got tight and be unplesent, but when she comes back it will release.
