Dragons appear in just about every culture in every part of the world. They appear on walls, statues etc. In Asia, Europe, Mexico, Egypt....etc, and these parts of the world never knew each other, so how else could they all have a similiar monster? Perhaps maybe not dragons per se, but a very large animal could have existed. Have you seen the Dragons documentary on Animal Planet? It explains all.
ps: Ah, and dragon bones HAVE been found. Large reptiles with wings attatch, that resemble those in myths and stories. In Germany, a "baby dragon" was found recently, though scientists argue what it is. It is currently preserved in a jar with liquid!

The "behemoth" mentioned in Job is almost certainly the hippo, just as "leviathan" is almost certainly the whale. As for dragons, mythology also calls them "great worms", or serpents. Sometimes flying, sometimes not. The myth of the dragon goes back even before Tiamat in Shumerian legend, and has had many, many millenia to cross cultural boundaries. The fact that a myth is recorded in many different places, among many different peoples, doesn't make it any less a myth.

First -- that description can apply to almost anything.
Second -- dragons have NEVER been described as grass eaters. Maybe it is a hippo!
Third -- telling me you have Biblical proof that dragons exists is like George Bush telling me that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction -- that is, it is a story not based no fact.
Fourth -- yes -- there actually were large lizards in the world. There still are. None of them breathes fire.
Fifth -- I hope you are putting us on -- because if not, you have a very sad life ahead of you.
Thanks for the two points

I totally agree with you. There are lots of references in the Bible of Dinosaurs and dragons. Also lots of proof in ancient cultures all the way up to the 1400 and 1500's. The critter mentioned in the book of Job, couldn't be a Hippo as some reference books explains, because Hippos have a tiny tail, not one like a cedar as the book of Job says.

I'm probably going to labeled a nutjob, but oh well. There is a picture floating around somewhere with a man's fossilized footprints next to a dinosaur's. While there is some speculation about what the two were doing by other; the evidence would suggest that man and "dragons" coexisted. I'm going to hazard that this is the case and that we weren't separated by millions of years.

I dont know if I believe Dragons existed, but it's definitely possible. Enough has been written about them in the old days to give reason to think something along that nature did exist.
