the max dose of acetamenophin per day is 4.5 gm or 4500 mg. Anything over this is harmful to the liver. But do tell her to get help for her behavior! It's not right for her to manipulate others feelings with threats of suicide!

3 is fine. Many people take three only if they're in a lot of pain and 2 (the normal dose) doesn't help. But less than 5 probably won't do much to the normal person.
But anyway, it's not the pills that are a problem! She obviously has suicidal tendencies (even if they're small) and needs psychiatric help! If she tried once, there's nothing saying she won't try again in the future! Talk to her, heart-to-heart, and explain that you're worried and you really care about her. Tell her that you really think she should look into talking to someone and stuff. She really does need help, and it's not because of the Tylenol. Just be there for her. And if you really feel like it's neccessary (especially if she does it again), tell her parents! Even if she doesn't want you to, just do it. They will be able to help a lot (they won't be mad, they'll be just as worried as you are). Something like that should never be a secret because if she does end up hurting herself, you're going to feel really guilty that you didn't do more to help. Do anything and everything neccessary!
Best of luck!!

No, taking 3 Tylenol wont hurt her. The whole bottle will hurt her, but that three is a relatively small dose.

3 is fine but more than 8 in a few hours time is very harmful to her liver. theres a chance that she could have needed a liver transplant. on the other hand i would say it should be a concern if she tried that. this sounds to me that she was trying to commit suicide. she needs ur suport and suport from friends and family. she may want to see a phycologist to help her with her grief. good luck and just be there for ur friend.

If something was going to happen to her, it would've by now. But I suggest she sees a doctor b/c the thought/act of taking a whole bottle of pills is not healthy.

It is above the recommended dose but she will be fine. She should get some therapy though as this indicates a cry for help and attention and that she is in need of an ear for listening.

She should be fine, as far as the three pills go. She should really see someone about the attempted suicide, though, that's serious.
Try to talk her into seeing someone, and if she still doesn't want to, I suggest you call the proper authorities to force her into treatment. Otherwise, she may end up hurting or killing herself.

She just wanted attention. Who tries to kill themselves in front of people who will take the pills from them? Answer = nobody who is serious about killing themselves.
Tell her parents she tried to commit suicide and tell her next time you will call the ambulance.

There are hot lines you can call. Check the local phone book. Look for mental health hospitals too. If she did this she should be getting help. They can help you find a way to get her help.

if nothing has happened by now I think she'll be fine, I usually take two of those for headaches so I don't see how one more could be harmful...
