Don't make it huge. Keep it something that you can easily outdo on your next date. No girl likes a dude that blows his wad right at the beginning.

Well first dates should be for getting to know one another. i'd like going for coffee or grabbing a drink and appetizers. Caffeine and alcohol would loosen you up and appetizers are light and do not give chances to expose your bad eating habits as opposed to a full meal. By then you should find out if she's active or inactive. If active take her to dave and busters if inactive, a movie will do unless you're sick of her and want to go home.

Well i can start by satying that make sure you take her somewhere nice because my bf only took me to the movies on our first date but who doesnt go to the movies impress her by taking her somewhere you guys can hang out and talk. That way you get to know her better too.

Not to the movies or dinner.
Be more exciting. Try to go for some type of community event. Street parties, china towns, fireworks(July 1st(Canada)/4th(US)), and other things like that.

Depends on the age of you and the girl. A teenage girl, movie and miniture golf. An Adult girl, movie and dinner.

like Debra B said take her to see fireworks. before the event go to a coffee shop and chill out there for little bit, then go watch fireworks and after that get some ice cream

Take her to the carnival. If she acts like a jerk, you can always disappear into the crowd and pick up another chick over on the tilt-a-whirl. Good luck

a movie, or to dinner.. also something like a club where you can here different singers...or even go skating or play put put golf.. ask her what her interest are.. and go from there...i think a movie and dinner for myself and you can talk and get to know each other a little better....

Movies, maybe walk in park to talk, a ballgame if she likes sports. I do.
I hated 1st date at restaurant, it made me nervous to eat in front of someone I was trying to impress.
