You should be dumping him. He only wants you around for when he can't find someone else. His own private little sex toy, that's why he wants you to save yourself for him. It works both ways. You need to decide whether you want to dump him outright, or make it clear to him that you're going to be with whomever you want as well.
I would advise practicing safe sex whatever you do. Having one lover would be the ideal situation...but if he's sleeping with whomever, then you're sleepin with them as well...and whoever they have slept with. So whatever you decide, just be smart and safe about it.
